	1.	Prolactin cells are acidophilic by hematoxylin & eosin stains and comprise about 20 % of all cells in the anterior pituitary gland.
	2.	It stains some tissue in contrasting colors in a way similar to haematoxylin and eosin stain, as phosphotungstic acid binds to tissue proteins.
	3.	Necrosis results in the release of cellular DNA, which adheres in patches to the walls of blood vessels, showing as intensely hematoxylin-eosin stain.
